Team Illinois Sponsored by IWCOA Presents the 2012 Freshman-Sophomore State Championships

The Freshman/Sophomore state series is an AAU sanctioned event for individual wrestlers. The Freshman/Sophomore designation is used to define a group of wrestlers and does not indicate that a wrestler is representing his or her school. Wrestlers are not required to have a coach. All wrestlers must be AAU members.

Athletes

2011 Frosh/Soph competitors will enjoy a three pound allowance for the entire series. (+3lbs)

Wrestlers must compete at the assigned Regional for their school. No Exceptions.

You must present a copy of AAU membership at the Regional Registration.

Coaches

AAU Coaches Cards Must Be Purchased Online

The Coaches education course must be taken at the time of registration. The course is very brief and can be completed in about 15 minutes.

Mandatory Coaches Education: the AAU National Office is happy to announce to its members, FREE Coaches Education for all AAU Non-Athletes. This exciting program is MANDATORY for all AAU Non-Athletes and will be administered by Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA). Please visit www.aausports.org and click JOIN NOW in order to enter and take the Mandatory AAU/PCA coaches ecucational course. Membership may be revoked from non-athletes who do not complete course prior to competition.
